In the heart of Salento, Masso Antico preserves the tradition of Apulian winemaking. The Alberello Pugliese, an ancient cultivation method, yields excellent quality grapes that are withered on the vine and refined in barrels. Passionate winemakers reinterpret history into eclectic wines, capable of expressing the colors and flavors of this generous land.

Masso Antico Verdeca Chardonnay, a blend of verdeca grapes, from the Itria Valley, and chardonnay grapes. The grapes are cultivated according to the methods of the organic agriculture and are picked up only manually during the month of September, undergo a selection process. After the pressing procedure and the destemming, the must and the skin of the grapes remain in contact for some hours at low temperatures, in order to enhance the aromas and scents. This is followed by fermentation and maturation process in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature.
This wine has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. A wine with an enveloping flavor and strong personality. It has a delicate bouquet with fruity and floral notes, such as exotic fruit, peach and hints of rose. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious, savoury and well balanced.
